  1. I bought CG Melted Caramel after your last video. I was so excited to try it after not being able to wear makeup for over 2 weeks(eye problems!) well I open it & it’s smushed and broken. Ugh :/ should’ve checked before I bought it.

    1. Oh, and a question: can you recommend any brands of lip pencil that aren’t too drying? The last time I filled in my lips with liner, it was a Collection pencil and I swear it made my lips shrink and crinkle inwards like someone had let the air out of them. And that was with gloss on top!

  2. Brilliantly simple – and you did it with such care, perfection. The eyeshadows r stunning. The layering – I have been afraid to wear eyeshadow – but these subtle colors might convince me to give it a try. Lovely. thank you for this look, particularly the mattes. (even though i treasure the dewy).

  3. Your features look SO stunning with this look! It really showcases your beauty πŸ™‚
I have found it hard to find matte palettes that suit me. Any hint of brown makes me look sickly, shadowy and sad. I’ve tried different application techniques, and paying more attention to foundation and concealer, but can’t make it work. Colors with gray tones to them are better on me. Palettes don’t usually pull that way – I decided to pass on the Viseart one for that reason πŸ™ I am trying to streamline my makeup shopping this year, but i could really use some complex, interesting greyed matte tones beyond the regular grey. I hadn’t considered Burberry because of the price for a single :/ But Khaki and Taupe Brown look like they could suit me. Is the texture worth it? Any other suggestions in that tonal family? Thanks!

    1. Aw, thank you Catalina!
Sounds like you prefer cooler eyeshadows? Viseart leans warm so probably best you skip it. Have you considered collecting single shades and depotting them into a palette? A handmade palette, so to speak πŸ™‚

I think the Burberry texture is stunning, but as always preferences vary. RBR singles are also awesome and they have quite a few cooler matte shades.

      xx

  4. This is such an incredibly beautiful and natural look! I find that after some time, lip balms often leave this awful white residue where my lips meet though. Does the It Cosmetics lipliner do that?

  5. Really like this make up Karima. Those Burberry eyeshadows are tormenting me…I have seen so many positive reviews – especially about Pale Barley (I agree, I think it’s nice but doesn’t exactly blow my mind). Maybe they’ll bring out a palette? *fingers crossed*.

  6. Oh i ADORE this, Karima! This kind of look is right where (a) my makeup style is at, i.e. neutral, and (b) my makeup skill level is at, i.e. not high. Actually I’ve been wanting/needing a good eye primer that has great coverage as I have very visible veins on my lids, much more so than you. How do you feel about that Benefit Stay Don’t Stray? Does it crease at all? How does it compare to Mac Painterly for the same job? Thank yooouuuu πŸ™‚ xxx

    1. Hey Claire πŸ™‚
So pleased this tutorial suits your style! Benefit Stay Don’t Stray is best for normal lids, if you have oily lids or frequently struggle with longevity, I’m not sure it will be enough.

MAC Painterly makes my eyes look OLD. Again, maybe it’s my normal lids but it’s not kind to me.

Have you tried MAC Prolongwear concealer on the eyelids? That has high coverage and fantastic longevity.

      xx

  7. Beautiful!
I really love the BALM’s Mary Lou manizer used sparingly, but I am after a slightly less sparkly powder highlighter. The Shishedio high beam WT90t you mentioned previously looks amazing but unfortunately isn’t available in Australia… Any idea on where to find it? It looks beautifully sophisticated.
    Thanks Karima X

  8. Hi karima,I watched this video the other day and I love this look so much,I was so inspired and then I did one as well:) but, because I’m a bit clumsy with instergram,I think I accidentally directed the pic to you( instead of #you) please don’t be freak out and if you did,I’m sorry about that(so embarrassed) btw,you are one of my fav youtubers, love your videos<3 hope you have a good night:). Xoxo Lilian

  9. Hi Karima! Thank you very much for this makeup look it’s so elegant, just what I was looking for! I am considering buying the eyeshadows; however I would rather buy a palette which would have all of them or something close. Would you recommend one specifically? Thank you very much for your help!
