Yay! Another smackdown! This time we have a MASSIVE Charlotte Tilbury brand smackdown – see how all the products apply while I give my 100% brutally honest reviews. We’ve got some major hits (holy grail items) and some major FAILS, hope you find the video informative!
In case you’re looking for something in particular…
Skin & Face – 0:35 – 5:20
Brow and Eye Products – 5:20 – 10:30
Lips – 10:20 – 12:00
NB: Brush wise, wasn’t a huge fan of the Charlotte Tilbury Eye Smudger or Powder & Sculpt Brush (both great shapes but scratchy compared to my Japanese brushes) but I do like the Eye Blender Brush (very soft!).
This video is not sponsored, I just thought it would be fun 🙂
Nail polish I’m wearing in this tutorial
It’s a CND Shellac but I forgot the name 🙁 Soz

NB: A lot of these products were purchased by me, many were sent to me for consideration. My reviews are brutally honest regardless 😉
Amazing, this video!!
Huge thanks.

Very comprehensive and helpful. Thanks! I always love your videos.
Fabulous review!!
I adore CT products and love the ones you do. MATTE REVOLUTION is my holy grail of lipsticks…try Glastonberry for Fall….it is to die for;

Brilliant review! I loved it all – and I appreciate your candor, and it fits with my experiences of some of the items I have tried. I love the lip liner, film star, and lipstick. I look forward to trying more. I would love to be able to get my makeup/foundation to be invisible like yours is. Will keep at it — as always, you inspire.
Wow Karima fab post. I have quite a few Charlotte tilbury items…some hits some misses. Love bronze and glow, well mainly the bronze, I wish she would bring out some different highlight compilations though. Love the lip pies. I haven’t tried the powder but am going to order one now so thanks for the heads up, I’ve been looking for a good compact powder. By the way rouge bunny rouges diaphanous powder is a dream. I hated the miracle eye wand, the cream side stung like a bitch and the other end, well!!!!! What’s that all about. Funnily enough with all the hype over the rock n kohl eyeliner I hated it. I could only use it on the waterline, it pulled trying to draw a line on the upper lid and was real patchy, I’ll be sticking with my Kevyn aucoin ones, his brown/black is awesome. I liked the the light wonder foundation would of loved it had it been a medium coverage but the magic foundation was a total miss…urgh, truly awful. I only have the sophisticate eyeshadow palette which is ok. I really like the full fat lashes mascara even though like yourself I do get panda eyes but that’s quite normal for me with most mascara, my Fave is guerlain maxi lash. Thank you so much for your time and honesty on doing these wonderful in depth reviews they are so much appreciated.
Sorry also meant to ask can you recommend a brush similar to charlottes powder and sculpt brush. I love the shape, size and density but not so much the feel of the bristles… It’s not so soft. I’m trying to collect chikuhodo or hakuhodo brushes so anything similar from their lines would be great. Thank you
Karima, I think this is the best video you ever posted. It is well edited, informative and didn’t make me bored throughout watching it. I hope your next smackdowns would be like this. Are you going to do Cle de Peau smackdowna in the near future? Highly appreciated if you do. Also, what brand of Japanese brush that resembles CT powder and sculpt brush? Thank you very much and good luck!
Karima, your aesthetic sense has always wowed me, but this video is another level. I cannot imagine the hard work you have had to put into this video. It is probably the most visually pleasing beauty video I have ever seen, and I have seen many. Congrats!
What a great video and I love the effects! Amazing job 🙂
OK so this video is how I discovered your channel, and up until now I can’t stop binge-watching/reading all your content! I’m so happy I discovered you!
I love your make up philosophy, I just wish I would have the same skin tone (my body is cool yellow/olive, my face has more red in it hence it’s less olive and more neutral as a whole but as a whole I think I’m lighter than you: I use the Bourjois in 52 too, but anything else you use is way too dark on me).
I am religiously reading your japanese brush posts now, as I’ve been meaning to invest in some for a while… The only thing holding me back (apart from the price tag) right now is I want to make sure I will know how to properly clean them and store them. Seriously I don’t understand why people store make up brushes out in the air in pots, when I see the amount of dust that I can collect on my shelves in just a week!
Keep up the good work! 🙂
