Hi again, everyone! Today I thought I’d do a basic smokey eyes tutorial using brown eyeshadow.
There are so many ways of approaching smokey eyes but here is my method. Also a reminder that my SUQQU Himesango giveaway will be running until the 24th of July, so get in quick!
Let’s start with the tutorial, shall we?
Step 1:
Prime Lid. Using a black pencil liner, liner the upper lash line (this does not have to be neat). Also, line your upper waterline. I used RBR Salome Kohl.
Step 2:
Take a blending brush (I used MAC 217) and a brown cream base and blend onto the lid and lightly into the crease.
Step 3:
Take a shimmery brown eyeshadow (I used Yaby Chocolate Smoothie) and pat onto the lid. I also highlighted my brow bone here using MAC Vanilla.
Step 4:
Using a smudge brush, rub the brown cream base along the lower lashline and pat your shimmery brown shadow over. I also lined my lower waterline here with MAC Teddy.
Step 5:
Highlight your inner corner (I used Chanel Perlees palette), apply false lashes if you please (I used a few Ardell short individuals) and apply mascara (Lancome Hypnose). Anddd you’re done!
Here is the final smokey eyes look- I used a light dusting of MAC MSFN on the skin and By Terry Rouge in 304 on lips.

it looks fantastic!
thanks for the tut- I love this! Love the lips too. I'd just like to see whatever you come up with š
Hi
Loved this look- what brown cream base did you use love it! also we do not get yaby here any dupes for the brown shimmer?
Thanks
I used a random, unmarked brown base that I received in a swap. MAC Quite Natural Paint Pot would give the same effect. As for the yaby, other good shimmery brown eyeshadows that would work well are: Burberry Midnight Brown, Urban Decay Darkhorse or MAC Twinks.
Hopefully this is helpful!
