How to create epic cheekbones using cream highlight and contour! Lots of great contour & highlight recommendations for all skintones and tips and tricks I’ve discovered to achieve chiselled bone structure that looks natural and believable 😉 You could incorporate this tutorial into your prom makeup or any evening event – it pictures beautifully!

If you want to know more about contour placements for different face shapes, I thoroughly discuss this topic in my Powder Contour Tutorial.

Two things to note if you’re going for epic sharp contouring:
1) It registers better in the evening
2) Ideally, wear your hair out. The face framing layers will create natural shadows that enhance your contour (I wore my hair up so my mane didn’t interfere with the tutorial lol).

  1. You look absolutely gorgeous here! I was watching some of your older videos and I saw a couple where you kind put on a makeup artist’s hat and did someone else’s makeup. Is it possible for you to do something similar on a darker skintone? I will be more than happy to volunteer myself as tribute πŸ™‚

  2. I would be interested to see how you use Chanel’s soleil tan de chanel, because I have my eye on it but I don’t want to purchase it and it look like I have become a orangutan because it doesn’t suit my colouring. Or because I am applying it wrong, so that kind of video would be greatly appreciated! πŸ˜€

  3. I would love to know what color you dye you hair if you do. I love that it is a cool brown. For some odd reason my brown shade are pulling an orange color and it is driving me crazy. Love your tutorial!

    1. Hey Jen,
Much of my hair is actually my natural colour, which is an ash brown. It’s tricky to achieve in a salon because hair dye is generally formulated with bleach, which pulls the hair warm.

  4. Lovely tutorial! Also your eye makeup is flawless as always. I would be sooo happy if we could also get a tutorial on the eyes πŸ™‚ I have my graduation party on two weeks time and I think this look would be perfect with the dress I have and the hairdo I’m planning to make.

  5. Another great tutorial, as always. Do you have a drugstore dupe for Mac’s Omega? I tried NYX Taupe, but I find that it is still a little pink for my taste. Thanks in advance!

  6. Karima! Nice work with the pictures of your products at the bottom of the post! Love it, 10/10 addition to your blog.

I had a question, what are your thoughts on the Infallible Sculpt cream-to-powder contouring palette by L’Oreal?

Also do you have any experience with chemical peels -causing- hyper-pigmentation? Trust me, I’ve researched it and I specifically chose one (salicylic/mandalic combo) that treats hyper-pigmentation and if anything it’s just made things worse…
