  1. Oh Karima! I love your glamorous and sophisticated make up looks but you look so beautiful, youthful and fresh like this. Love it! And it was one of my video requests πŸ˜‰ Thanks!

  2. Your hair looks great! Love it when you mix natural look tutorials with more statement makeup ones. I think your natural looks exell in the youtube community. Interesting and pretty natural looks are not necessarily easy to do. And i love it when you smile in your pics πŸ™‚ I hope you do another concealer video soon. I am honestly tired of looking for a texture that works in the undereye without it being tons of work. Concealer always tends to very obviously look like makeup! Hate that. You said you like the Clarins one and i am looking forward to more views on that and others. On a side note, i am happy to see your channel growing more and more. And happy i was following since the early days! May the good keep coming πŸ™‚

    1. Hey Catalina πŸ™‚

I’ll be doing a few more natural/everyday looks soon, so hopefully you like that! If you can find a match in the Clarins Instant Concealer, that is just about the most skin-like undereye concealer I’ve come across!

Thanks for your support, dating back to the early days!
      xx

  3. I love your hair! You look gorgeous πŸ™‚ I’m going to show this to the hair stylist the next time I go to the salon. #goals (and the makeup is beautiful) πŸ™‚

  4. Hi Karima,

I also bought the mascara because of Sharons video. But the first time, I tried to remove it, I got sooooo frustrated because it didn’t want to come off (I tried all I had at home incl. oils, balms etc.). Since my lashes looked AMAZING with it, I gave it a second try and reminded myself how all other Max Factor mascaras come off and the answer is: plenty (like really a lot) warm water. At some point the mascara just melts away and you only have to take the rest off with a gently cleanser!

I thought, this might help others, who also struggle with the removal! πŸ™‚

    1. Hey Gaby,
Thanks for that! Hopefully it helps someone browsing through the comments. Tubing mascaras and warm water removal always irks me because I use an oil or balm cleanser all over. I find if I let the emollience sit on the lashes for a minute, it finally dissolves!
      xx

  5. That eye makeup is so so beautiful! Would it suit dark brown eyes? Also I live in the UK and can’t get cover girl- is there a similar colour that would be easier to find?

  6. Oh it’s so good to see you do a natural makeup look! As much as I LOVE to watch all your creative/dramatic looks, in the end I’m a simple and natural girl through and through. I’d love to see you do a natural look using your normal fave products, i.e. incl high end. I’m a high end makeup girl too haha.

  7. Love your hair! Looks striking yet naturally sun kissed.
Btw, thank you so much for recommending the Koh Gen Do foundation! I always had a feeling I had olive skin despite it being so light. I noticed that I had a green tinge to my skin when I didn’t tan and foundations that matched my skin made me look weirdly pale. The KGD 213 matched me to perfection. It’s as if it was custom made for me.
The other problem I had is that foundations are always visible on my skin. The same foundation that looks beautiful on my mom and cousins, looks cakey even if applied lightly with a beauty blender. The KGD looks so skin like no matter how much I apply. It’s like magic.
I only have one teeny tiny concern. I think it clogs my pores. The good thing is that I don’t wear foundation regularly. But I wish it didn’t so I could wear it more often.

    1. Hey Abir πŸ™‚
Sounds like you are medium toned and olive, if the KGD matches you well. So pleased you love it, too!
Sometimes I find that foundation that congest the skin can be used over an occlusive primer and that mitigates the issue. If you have a primer you like, maybe give that a go.
      xx

  8. Lovely look, and your hair is beautiful! I like your more dramatic editorial looks, but would never recreate them. This is more my style. Can I make a request? I have had to start wearing glasses recently and now I do not know how to adapt my eye make up so it doesn’t disappear behind them. How about a tutorial for glasses wearers covering the sort of general rules, if you know what I mean. I would love that and I am sure I would not be the only one. I cannot be bothered with lenses every day. ☺️

  9. I love this makeup look! I’m definitely going to have to recreate this. Thanks for the tip about balancing hair color and makeup color. I have fairly low contrast, so dramatic colors typically don’t look good on me. Whomp whomp. But hey, I would rather look good than have my makeup wearing me.

    1. Hey Kristin,
Yeah it’s a very interesting topic! If your colouring is low contrast, you’ll find the low contrast palettes easier to pull off. I think a bold lip suits everyone though, if you pin the right undertone πŸ˜‰
