So I’ve been using the Geisha Ink Mascara for a good month now, and it has replaced my old HG mascara- Lancome Hypnose.
I purchased the Geisha Ink mascara and liquid liner (also HG) from MiseBeauty (Not affiliated in any way).
Misebeauty describes Geisha Ink mascara as “a water-proof, clump and smudge-free formula which can help increase lashes up to three times its original volume. Ultra Volume Mascara now lets you make your own optical illusions. The brush is specially designed to separate lashes while applying a volumizing formula to add definition and drama. The result? Plump, primp, and provocative lashes that are sure to catch your eye. But this isn’t just a trompe l’oeil: Ultra Volume Mascara is formulated to stay on strong through water, tears, and sweat. Working full-time to stay streak-free, this mascara makes sure it’s your every wink, blink, and flutter that’s turning heads, and not a river of black tracking down your cheeks.”
I tend to agree! It’s the first tubing mascara I’ve owned and it’s perfect for layering to give volume to lashes. It doesn’t smear at ALL, it gives great volume, fantastic length and is easily removed with warm water- simply rub the lashes between your fingers.
I’ll let the photos do the talking.

Your right = Still Geisha Ink Mascara
You can see from the picture (hopefully!) that the Geisha Ink mascara makes my lashes appear fuller, especially on the outer corner. What do you guys think? What is your HG mascara?

Wow it does look good!
Mine is YSL Faux Cils, which is bad really because it's expensive and it barely lasts 2 1/2 months before it dries up. But I have tried lots of others and nothing compares ๐
Musing on beauty:
I did own that one! It lost the HG battle to Armani Eyes to Kill (at the time).
I wanted to try Geisha Ink but since I live in the US I’d end up paying almost $40 for it anywhere online. How does Armani Eyes to Kill compare?
They’re quite different- Geisha Ink is a tubing mascara (fairly sure it’s a fibre mascara, too). Armani Eyes to Kill is great for volume but I didn’t find it as wispy/fluttery as the Geisha Ink. I do love Armani Eyes to Kill, though!
xx
That’s helpful! Do you use a base under your mascara?
Nope, but I would like to try one!
I’ve used Lancรดme Cils Booster XL for years and it’s great! I’m going to try Shiseido’s soon and it’s had good reviews as well
Karima have you tried Fasio mascaras? I read about them on Drivel About Frivol and the blogger there seems to have similar mascara preferences as you ๐ Would love to hear your thoughts ๐
I purchased a few while in Japan but they’re still unopened! I have countless mascaras to finish before I open them ๐ x
Also Karima! This mascara is cheaper if you buy it from the company’s own website! CA$30 compared to ยฃ24 on MiseBeauty. And if you spend >$50 shipping is free worldwide! (Fellow Australian, Melbournite)
