A modern take on gothic makeup with a generous dose of glam 🙂 One of my favourite vampy lipsticks paired with the Charlotte Tilbury Vintage Vamp Palette. If winged liner is the bane of your existence, I have an edgy and easy alternative too!
A few days left to enter the MV Skincare giveaway!
Final Look
I paired this makeup with an edgy Faux Mohawk. I liked how it turned out but really, you should watch the tutorial by Kayley Melissa because her version puts mine to shaaaame.
Seeing your own profile is a weird sensation because we rarely see that angle of our faces :-/ Let’s also add a picture of the Charlotte Tilbury Vintage Vamp Palette, which I used in this tutorial.

SUCH a gorgeous look! Love your eyes! x
Madeleine
Thanks Madeleine! x
stunning Karima – i love this look. i think taking all the redness/discoloration out of the face is key for a look like this, as you say. i want to try something similar with my TF matte Black Dahlia.
i love the “faux” winged look you demo’ed. i am going to try a faux wing now, with some neutrals!!
xoxo sj
Thanks, SJ š If you take photos, make sure you tag me! x
I really appreciate that you denote which products you were sent. I’ve recently become aware of how several beauty bloggers I used to follow don’t disclose at all and once I knew that everything I saw from them just seemed so false. I don’t think any readers/viewers mind that you are sent products but its just such a pleasure to see someone being honest without it being treated like gift to even tell us or just making a meal of it like I’ve seen from others
Ofcourse! There are instances where it slips my mind but for the most part, I’m on top of it. It’s all about honesty (although some very big bloggers probably receive the majority of their product free of charge, I appreciate it when it’s noted).

Excellent take! As always. Btw what is this wonderful song that you use pn this tutorial?

Hey, Karima!
Can I just add that for someone who says that hair routne could pe a total pain that hair for this tutorial that you did is really great! And the last picture is just not only great for hair done – your neck looks very long (we call it a swan neck)- it is very beautiful! Such an amazing picture- you could totally use this for painting or a pencil sketch for the blog (that if you whish to create some kind of logo, you know). Just wanted to mention that. I love your pictures, not only tutorials. š
Hey Aurica,
Too kind! Hair is definitely my weakness but at least I try!
xx
Looove this look! But I tried the winged liner and I must did something wrong… What kind of eye brush should I use? I achieved a non very subtle line…Thanks, Karima, you are so inspiring!
Hey Robin,
Just to clarify, your line was too subtle? If so, use a denser slimmer brush.
xx
Awesome, I add you on bloglovin not to miss the looks you do!!
I love Bloglovin! Glad you liked the tutorial š x
Beautiful, love the reverse cat eye wing!
Good shortcut š x
As a grownup goth I salute this look.
Hi Karima, I have only recently discovered your site, while searching for some RBR reviews. And I love it! š Today I’m wearing the winged liner you suggested in this tutorial and it’s quite a revelation! Hey thanks! š But what I really wanted to share is that a couple of months ago I also felt the urge to put a layer of Mood Exposure above eye shadow. I thought to myself “wow!” seeing you do it as well… š
Cordial greetings!
