  1. Stunning Karima! Love both lip options! Can’t wait for more videos, especially the concealer smack down πŸ˜€ xo

  2. I’ve been waiting for this video since you gave a sneak peak at the finished look. It did not disappoint! Gorgeous and simple at the same time πŸ™‚

  3. Hi Karima,

I desperately need your help! Most make up gurus on you tube are in their 20’s and don’t have any wrinkles under or on the side of their eyes. So the setting powders used look flawless and smooth in videos. However I have developed noticeable wrinkles around my eyes, as well as darkness around my eyes as I’ve reached my mid 30’s and find that these setting powders exacerbate these lines around my eyes. Even powders like Laura Mercier Brightening Eye powder make my eye area look terrible due to the fine glitter in the formulation.

Please could you recommend a setting powder for eyes which brightens and sets makeup, without magnifying eye wrinkles? Preferably without glitter! Thank you!

    1. Hey Christina,
Firstly, with fine lines I try to confine concealer to the darkest point and avoid placing product around wrinkled areas. The more you apply (and the greater area in which you apply), the greater the likelihood of exacerbating texture.

Same goes for powder, you might not need to set the entire undereye area and even if you do, half the amount of powder, it’s easy to over apply.

You might be doing all that but just though I’d throw it out there πŸ™‚ In terms of setting powder, the Laura Mercier Translucent is entirely free of glitter, it’s not my favourite but you might like it. I do enjoy the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless powder under the eyes, the texture is finer than the LM.

Finally, silica powders are brightening and a stock-standard silica powder shouldn’t have any glitter (while the LM Secret Brightening Powder is silica based, it has other illuminating properties so try a standard one).

      Hope this helps πŸ™‚
      xx

  4. MAC came out with a color similar to Nightmoth in their Prolongwear lip liner formula, which are typically creamier and go on smoother than their traditional pencils. Might be worth a gander πŸ™‚ Loving your work from Chicago!

  5. Dear karima,

I have hooded eyes, but I can never establish eyemakeup like yours. Actually, I am not sure whether you have hooded eyes or not? I even zoomed at your great eyes, but still,I can’t be sure, maybe semi-hooded? πŸ™‚
Not to be misunderstood, My intention is to grab some tricks if we share the same eye issuesβ™‘ Now, my best trick is to use smaller crease brush as wellas a smaller detail brush for working more precise on the eye. And I would like to hear more from you if you have any tricks further. Xoxo
