  1. This look is so stunning- and I actually have the eyeshadows you used!! *hyperventilates* That’s never happened before;) I had a big family wedding this weekend and I wore your Spring Goddess look to the day ceremony and your Cocktail + Wedding Guest look to the reception and felt beautiful! Thank you for creating such varied, gorgeous, achievable looks for us, your hard work is greatly admired. xxx Liv

    1. Yay! If you ever take photos of the recreations, I would really really love to see šŸ™‚
I’m so pleased you felt beautiful, this is my favourite comment of the day <3
Thanks for taking the time to comment xx

  2. Absolutely stunning Karima! I’ve followed your blog for a very long time and your expertise and knowledge never ceases to amaze me.
A question, have you tried the Maybelline Color Tattoos (original and/or leather effect)? If so, how would you say they compare to the Max Factor Excess Shimmer eyeshadows, in terms of colour payoff, texture, lasting power etc.
    Keep up the incredible work.
    Much love from England xxx

    1. Hey Aaisha (beautiful name!),

I have some of the original Color Tattoos, I haven’t tried the leather. They’re a hard paste consistency, similar to the MAC Paint Pots. The Max Factors Excess Shimmer are a wet mousse, so a very different texture.

I think the Color Tattoos have a better colour payoff but both can be layered for an opaque effect. Lasting power wise, they both set rather quickly on me and hold all day.

      Hope this helps!
      xx

  3. Really Karima?? Really? Do not bother asking if we want a dedicated brow tutorial or a highlighter smackdown. The answer will always be a very loud and resounding YES! Just yes to everything! šŸ˜‰

  4. Gorgeous tutorial, Karima. Just wondering why you chose to use the Charlotte Tilbury powder just under your eyes instead of all over, where you used the translucent powder instead. I am thinking of getting the Charlotte Tilbury powder, but would want to use it all over my T-zone. Thanks!

  5. Hey Karima,

Love this tutorial. Just wondering if I could ask an unrelated question??? Pretty pleeeeeease! you prefer the Wayne Goss or Rae Morris crease brushes – I’m def getting a few from both and would love your input! I plan to get the Rae – 7.5, 11 and eyeliners and Wayne – I’m tossing up the 19, 5, 3 or maybe some from Rae? I just can’t decide! Would really value your opinion. Thanks in advance xxx

    1. Hey Ashleigh!

So in general, I find the RM brushes are fluffier and less dense while the WG tend to have more resistance and density. Honestly, both brands create awesome brushes so it just depends on how heavy you want to pack eyeshadow (RM tends to create softer application, WG tends to build colour faster).

Hope that helps? Maybe get a few from each brand so you can determine which fibre you prefer šŸ™‚
      xx

      1. Thanks Karima! You are the bombbbbbb! It’s clear that I have no choice other than sampling both – a shame šŸ˜‰ haha thank again – I love that you always give us your opinion. It’s awesome xxx

  6. Gorgeous tutorial! Do you prefer the Charlotte Tilbury powder or the RBR powder? Would love your input as I need to buy powder!

  7. Karima,

I need your help! I love bronze smokey eye and my go to bronze for the day is Chanel mirage.
Naked Bronze is back in stock in April. Should I get the Naked Bronze or the cream eyeshadow spice?
Does the powder make it work spending the extra money?
