  1. I laughed out loud at the hair band vs Karima wrestling match! Very funny! You came out on top, girl! I love the look and own the palette, but I just do not feel a very dark smokey eye suits me. Looks great on you though, but then what doesn’t? Love from he UK.

      1. Koh Gen Do aqua foundation! Would you recommend that over Armani? Review maybe, Karima? Thinking of trying but it’s so overwhelming not being able to get a tester for colour matching purposes… It does sound kind of amazing and as soon as you give something a thumbs up I’m almost completely sold (:

  2. Love it! It’s a great look to wear to a gala, I wish I’d had one soon XD. In these pictures you somehow remind me of Natalie Portman in the Black Swan, maybe it’s the hair, not quite sure.

  3. Does the kevyn aucoin celestial powder have a similar effect to the white shiseido highlighter that you mentioned in a different video?

  4. I want to hug you and yell at you at the same time for introducing me to the RBR brand. Seriously. I just bought my first set of makeup from them (some eyeshadows, and eyeliner) and HOLY CRAP – I haven’t had a LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT moment with makeup in a long time…until I swatched the RBR stuff. OMGAH. My wallet hates me (aka why I want to yell at you) I also bought the same palette you used in this video haha. I’d say my favorite thing so far from their collection is Absyddian Catbird eyeshadow – HOLY PIGMENTATION. Anywhoos – have a good one and I look forward to your next video / post πŸ™‚ – Hugs from US

  5. Karima! I love this look. I believe that this look plus a dash of confidence (think girl power), sets the tone for a really fun and festive holiday season. Thank you so much! Happy Holidays. πŸ™‚

  6. What a stunning look! I actually slightly prefer the look before the lip products went on – your natural lip colour is the perfect pinky nude for it! I love olive green eyeshadows on myself, so I can’t wait to give this look a go.

As always, your tutorial is super detailed, insightful and eloquently delivered. Really enjoyed watching it.

PS – Do you have any recommendations for dramatic lashes (think Shu Smoky Layers and Black Slant, HoL Iconic) with softer, invisible lash bands? I’ve looked at Ardell but their hair quality is really crappy compared to the aforementioned.

    1. Hey Jen!
I love a nude lip but y’all would get bored of me lol. In terms of lashes, a lot of fibre requires a thicker band to hold them, kinda a necessary evil. I do find bending the lash band A LOT helps with flexibility but I always need a bit of liner to conceal the band.

  7. Hi Karima! Have you tried any RBR brushes? If so, do you like them? I’ve been eyeballing some and I trust your opinion!! Thanks :]

  8. Hey hey Karima,

Very gorgeous look! I am asian my eyes are not very hooded but with little lid space to work with. Do you know how to apply dark and bold colours without looking too puffy? I know big lashes do help a lot (learned it from Pixiwoo!).

I know you have finished your exams. Please! More blog posts or even more videos! Yours are my fav!

    xx

    1. Hey Sindy!
Correct, big lashes are fantastic on hooded eyes. Do you have much space under the brow? I say bring your shading up quite high so it’s apparent when your eyes are open. Stick to matte shades above the socket. Also, play up the lower lash line – it’s always visible, even on hooded eyes.
Lots of blog posts in the making πŸ˜€
